One subject is studied from each of the six DP subject groups.
Core Components
Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
A reflective course examining the nature of knowledge across disciplines and ways of knowing.
Extended Essay (EE)
An independent, self-directed piece of research culminating in a formal essay.
Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
Experiential learning through creativity, physical activity, and service to the community.
Guidance on Subject Selection
Students and families receive guidance regarding subject selection and DP requirements. Subject selection aims to balance each student’s interests and strengths with their university and career aspirations and the requirements of the programme.
