At the heart of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme are three core elements that connect and extend learning across every subject: Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity, Service.
The Core Components
Theory of Knowledge (TOK)
A reflective course examining the nature of knowledge across disciplines and ways of knowing.
Extended Essay (EE)
An independent, self-directed piece of research culminating in a formal essay.
Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS)
Experiential learning through creativity, physical activity, and service to the community.
SBG Academy is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and is pursuing authorisation as an International Baccalaureate World School.
